Coming Home to Water Part One: Breath & Body (12 hours, July, WOC & NBPOC)

Sliding Scale $15-$50/hour
Tuesdays & Wednesdays July 5th-27th (12 hours total).
Who is this class for: Complete Beginner to intermediate womxn & non-binary people of color.
This is a journey towards empowered, liberated, and skilled swimming for womxn and nonbinary people of color. We will build skills around breathing, understanding your body in relationship with water, floating, body alignment, and the beginnings of stroke development. Through mindfulness, meditation, and self inquiry activities, we center healing and deepening your relationship with water. No previous swim skills necessary. This class is geared towards adults of color with fear of water, but also welcomes those who already love being in water, and want to develop their skills in a safer space.
Maximum number of Students: 5
Pool Description: Indoor Full size pool 4ft all the way across, 92 degrees, located in Renton.
*COVD-19 Precautions: Class size limited to 5 students, to increase access, students and instructors are required to be vaccinated, temperatures are taken at the door, students are asked to distance from each other, masks to be worn on deck.
*Accessibility: ADA accessible parking and locker rooms, five steps with a hand rail to enter pool.
