Swim Foundations II: At Peace in the Deep is an invitation to transform the depths into a place of peace, comfort, joy, and safety.  By slowly and intentionally leaning into trust building with ourselves, eachother, and the water, we unravel the fears and blocks that arise in deeper water, and are free to have new experiences.  During this 9 hour course, we strengthen skills gained in Swim Foundations I such as breathing, body alignment, and floating, as well as playing with new skills such as jumping into deep water, and deep water safety.  You are encouraged to take part in at least two months of deep water classes!

Pool Space: The pool is located at a private residence which is also home to Orca Swim School. This outdoor salt water pool is a balmy 93 degrees and is surrounded by a canopy of trees.

Accessibility: Street parking, pool is located at the bottom of a long flight of (at times slippery) concrete stairs.  There is a changing area, and composting toilet, but no showers. There are steps to enter the pool.

COVID Protocol: To increase accessability and decrease risk, all instructors and students are required to be immunized OR have a negative covid test each week.

*Please note this class is a space for those who have experienced gender and race based exclusions from aquatic environments (womxn of color and non-binary POC). The space centers Black women and lovingly welcomes other identities.  Contact oshunswimschool@gmail.com if you have questions or want to find a different way to be involved!
