Oshun Swim School

Who is this class for: complete beginner to intermediate people of color (all genders).

Pool Description: Indoor Full size pool. 

This foundational swim class is offered as a one time drop-in, but you are welcome to register for both! This is a journey towards empowered, liberated, and skilled swimming.  We will build skills around breathing, understanding your body in relationship with water, floating, and body alignment.  Through mindfulness, meditation, and self inquiry activities, we center healing and deepening your relationship with water. No previous swim skills necessary. This class is geared towards adults of color with fear of water, but also welcomes those who already love being in water, and want to develop their skills in a safer space.

Thanks to the generous support of the New Settlement Community Center and Outdoor Afro, this $60 class is offered for $10. 

*COVD-19 Precautions: Class size limited to 5 students, instructor is vaccinated, students are asked to either be vaccinated or take a covid test within 24 hours of class.
