Oshun Swim School

Who is this class for: Complete beginner to advanced Black folks of all genders. 

Pool Description: Heated Indoor Full size pool. 4 ft all the way across. Pool space accesible with 4-5 steps with railing to enter water. 

Celebrate Juneteenth with Oshun Swim School! This workshop is an invitation to soak in rest, play, and swim-skill building, in community with other Black folks.  We will build skills around breathing, understanding your body in relationship with water, floating, and body alignment.  Through mindfulness, meditation, and self inquiry activities, we center healing and deepening your relationship with water. Holding curiosity and joy at the center, we'll explore water and belonging through games. No previous swim skills necessary. This workshop welcomes adults with fear of water as well as those who already love being in water!

This workshop is geared towards adults, but please reach out if you have a young person (10+) who you'd like to bring to see if it would be a good fit. 

*COVD-19 Precautions: Class size limited to 15 students, instructor and students are asked to either be up to date on COVID-19 vaccine, or have a negative covid test within 24 hours of the workshop.
